Hey ladies! Quick question: do you have a good breast pad recommendation? Someone gave me a massive box of morrisons ones and I didn't think to buy any more because of it but I hate them!!

So which ones do you use?

I like these ones JP: http://www.mothercare.com/Johnson-Johnsons-Baby-Nursing-Pads/dp/B000M89QT6
Used them most last time and am now. They are not the biggest ones out there but they are nice and thick so quite absorbant and have a sticky bit to keep them from slipping.

I second Johnson's breast pads too.

Aaargh, Fraser hasn't stopped whinging aaaaall day again. I'm going insane I tell you. How the hell do I settle a baby who cries all day over nothing and look after a toddler? I've literally had time to eat one slice of toast because I'm so frickin hassled.

Oh hun *hugs* I'm so sorry you're being stretched to your limit.

I've just taken a 20 min walk with DH and the dog (half of it was just standing there as we threw the ball for her) and I'm really feeling it! I know I'm going to be nice and sore tonight Crying or Very sad

Also, I told DH, "I need to go home" and we started walking back, I started crying because I feel so anxious being away from Rhys! Has this happened to anyone else? I struggle to get anything done because I have trouble being in a different room from him even! I feel ridiculous Embarassed

JP, I know what you mean. I now have very very fast showers unless DH is home. I just need to know someone is watching her!

I've got the Tommy Tippee breast pads as they were on offer and they have been really good so far.

We walked to the doctors and the post box today, DH carried Lishka in the carrier and when we popped into the little Tesco the woman behind the counter said it was excellent as it was about time the man carried the baby weight about for a bit Laughing

Had foaming washer disaster earlier, put some stuff in on the delicates setting with delicate washing liquid, I put less than the amount it said to use but then I said to DH that the washer looked full of suds. About 10 mins later there were suds all over the floor..... Shocked have put the stuff on an extra rinse to make sure all the soap is out!! Glad I didn't put the full amount of liquid in there, it would have been WaterWorld!!!

I was the same - I didn't even like anyone else holding my newborn. Dreading having visitors this time because it gets me so worked up when they are little!

Have you got a sling you could wear Rhys in so you can get on with things but still have him close to you?

I have got a wrap Hannah. I'm just not very confident with it. I know I need to practice. Its also a woven wrap so not stretchy and it's thick. I can't afford a new sling atm though. Unless anyone knows of a decent one which will cost me about £20.

Hally I've done that before but it was because I put dish soap in the washer. In my defense I was like 10. Laughing

Hmm, I'd say you could borrow mine for awhile but it's a wrap one too and I think it's woven?! It's a Moby wrap if that's any good? x

Hi, sorry for trespassing in your thread!! Just wanted to say that the moby ones are good for newborns, I've been using mine since he was about a week or two old, and you can get them for about £20 on eBay. Smile

I have got a Close Carrier and a Moby, they are both stretchy ones. So far I've braved the Close Carrier three times and it has been really good. Think they are both pretty cheap compared to some of the other carriers you can get. The Moby is pretty much the same thing as the CC except that the CC is already part-tied up for you (which is why I am using that one first to get my confidence up).
