body tremors? wtf is this???

I' get these twitchy movements that suddenly overcome me like a spasm;:/
I can't seem to get through one day without experiencing it.. I'll be standing/sitting/sleeping when all a sudden my legs violently shake uncontrobly (sp) ,if it happens in my sleep it wakes me up with jot like omg what was that feelings.

I don't really know what it is? Or what's causing it? Its been happening for a while now.

Side effect of medication?

I get some shaking from having ME. I'd get checked out to rule stuff out if you're worried, but it could be just something and nothing, hugs x

Ive recently Started a new AD nearly 4 weeks ago but suffered with the tremors for longer than 6 months. I'm back at the gps tomorrow so hopefully they can tell me what it is. X

You need to see the doctors asap.. it sounds like extrapyramidal side-effects, most likely a result of the medication you are on. Depending on what you are being prescribed at the moment they will either change to new meds or give you an additional (low dose) neuroleptic with the AD to reduce the side effects, or an antimuscarinic like Procyclidine, which will help to control the involuntary movements and twitching.

I'm on 15mg mirtazapine Eva. .. I'm on it because no other AD works for me and now apart from the tremors I'm a more calmer person with a bigger appetite and sleeping so much better too.

I'm glad that you managed to find an AD which suits you. The annoying thing is with the older AD there are more side effects, but usually they are more effective. Sleeping better is usually the key to feeling like a better person so thats a good thing you are feeling more rested. I'm sure that you'll stay on them and just be given something to help reduce the extrapyramidal side-effects.. the benefits clearly outweigh them.
